LITTER PICK ON THE VILLAGE
Dear All,
This is an update on a litter pick carried out Sunday 20th between some of our residents and Spelthorne Litter Pickers. Some might be surprised but most I expect not.
We cleared 31 green bags of rubbish, palettes plus plastic matting from the ditch up at Vermeulens which is a disgrace and I was surprised to find not just the ordinary small NOX tubes you find but this giant one!
A big shout out to Dorothy Ronan, Moureen and Claire Mack who along with myself represented the local contingent and the Spelthorne team, Cheryl and in particular Gem who I spent most of the time with and was a mine of information.
Shout out to Bob Dick and Simon Crossley who sent their apologies this time around.
Next year I am hoping that more residents will get involved as I’d like to make this a regular occurrence to keep our village tidy and I intend to hold local businesses, Heathrow and Councils to account for a better Stanwell Moor!
