Dear All,
Following on from my post of the 7th April, I was disappointed to learn last Thursday 10th that it seems the old residents committee had closed the associations bank account prior to the unexpected announcement on their WhatsApp group that they had resigned hours before their AGM was due to take place on the 19th of March.
I asked M0ureen if she would become treasurer again but unfortunately she can’t take on any more at this time (and I completely understand) as we all know she does so much in the community. I’ve asked if any funds could be held until we have the four new officers’ in-place and until such time as we have a bank account open for the new association.
I am still hopeful that any further assets can be transferred to the new representatives of our village. Including the transfer of the website so that it might be used to keep residents updated and that we we might be informed of any other work in progress. So we can update any stakeholders who might be involved of the new changes.
I am hoping the new association meeting can go ahead soon and I will confirm this asap. I’m doing everything I can but we still need candidates for a couple of positions!
