My apologies for the delay on this post but there has been so many things I’ve had to work on and it’s taken up so much of my time.
The meeting with Mark Izatt went well and we discussed many things regarding the impact of Heathrow operations over the nearest village to the end of a runway. I also shared with Mark more evidence of aircraft flying directly over the homes of the currently excluded residents.
I pointed out had our meeting been held at 3pm that day when alternation occurs how he would have experienced first-hand the misery our residents suffer daily, and what 80/110db sounds like for the next 6 or 7 hours or for 10 hours on alternate days.
Nevertheless, despite aircraft taking-off from the Northern runway Mark pointed out how significant the noise – actually was.
I took Mark on a tour of the village so he could understand the geography of the village. How 90% of this small self-contained community are currently having an installation package installed, and just how ludicrous it is that one home can be eligible for this insulation scheme yet their neighbours’ home, literally next door, or on the other side of the road was not.
We also discussed why a natural boundary and not outdated 40-year old desktop-modelling should apply in the unique case of Stanwell Moor, and Mark himself remarked on how sound over a reservoir might amplify the noise!
The height of the embankments and the proximity to our homes to the 350 acre King George VI Reservoir that holds approximately 3,500 million imperial gallons of water and is 56 feet deep was patently evident.
I think it was clear to both of us that there was no-basis-in-reality for the exclusion of these 60+ residential homes who literally live-under-a-runway and suffer the same or similar unacceptable daily noise and air pollution due to Heathrow Airport operations.

I hope we have a consensus on what should have been evident to Heathrow Airport will now be delivered for everyone on STANWELL MOOR!
