10TH JANUARY 2026
Dear All,
I unfortunately have to tell you that ‘two people’ masquerading as stanwell moor community watch are actually members of the “disgraced” previous SMRA who so badly let down every resident on our village when they REFUSED to hold an AGM then resigned, cancelling their meeting in March last year just hours before they were due to face ‘serious questions’ from our residents.
I had previously brought this up with HAL at our Compass Centre meetings and I was directed to discuss it with the Chairman of the Heathrow Local Community Forum ( LCF).
I have informed the Chairman they have no authority and the majority of Stanwell Moor residents DO NOT recognise stanwell moor community watch.
I explained how our residents made their feelings clear last year when they demanded the previous R.A. should hand over any assets they held, so that our community might move forward.
Particularly the association’s domain name and website but they have refused to do this!
Personally, I find their actions shameful, given they now have the audacity to use that “same website” to try to promote themselves when they have no authority.
It is now clear they have (no intention) of doing so and this is a further “slap in the face” to every resident of Stanwell Moor – So Shame on Them!
I have made the Chair aware that like every other community we can only be represented by ONE body and the recognised body for our community is Stanwell Moor Residents Association [SMRA].
However, outside of the legitimacy issues I am very concerned that this interference is disrupting our negotiations with HAL when we are at a critical point regarding our specific arguments for blight relief and residents compensation now and into the future from the airport.
I believe this is causing problems for the residents when I am continuing to fight for a (fully-funded) insulation package for the remaining “Excluded 10%” of Stanwell Moor residents, or in the longer-term could how it could impact on our right to have WPOZ for everyone on our village!
Best regards,
Jim.
