Dear All,

I have now reopened negotiations with HAL and as I go into my 8th year of trying to get justice and compensation for Stanwell Moor the mood-music is that that the ‘new hierarchy’ want to help our residents. Of course we will find out how much of that is TRUE but best to stay positive as we go forward as I’m determined to get this over the line.

I have also been in correspondence with our new MP Lincoln Jopp for several months making him aware of the history of our Heathrow compensation campaign and the struggle to gain WPOZ for Stanwell Moor.

On the 11th March I had a meeting with Lincoln at my home to discuss things further and work on a strategy going forward. I briefed Lincoln on the historical fight for “full compensation” for Stanwell Moor and the WPOZ website. We how Heathrow had promised us WPOZ for Stanwell Moor and then renaged on this on the grounds of “no new noise”.

We discussed the new taxiway that will bring another 320 flights per day landing over our village IS new noise and how Heathrow must now honour that promise.

We discussed an Insulation Scheme where 90% of our residents are being offered a 100% fully-funded, Insulation Package yet 10% ARE NOT despite every one of us being subjected to excessive aircraft noise!

We also discussed the importance of him opening dialogue with Heathrow and requesting an urgent meeting with HAL.

We packed a lot in regarding the plight of the “Forgotten Village”, our need for compensation and Spelthorne Councils ongoing support that WPOZ must be expanded to cover the whole of Stanwell Moor.

The meeting went well, we agreed on a lot of things but more to do, so I’ll keep you all updated.
