On the 8th Jan 2026, I had reports from residents that the weight limit sign on Horton Road leading from the M25 had been vandalised which was an immediate red flag for me as at this time it’s the only warning we have to deter commercial vehicles from coming over a 7.5t weight restricted bridge and driving through our village.
It also seemed to correspond with more HGVs coming onto Stanwell Moor from the M25 recently and that is something I’ve campaigned long and hard against.
I reported this to the Streetscene Team on Friday the 9th January and I’m happy to report that the graffitti had been cleaned by Monday the 12th.
So a big thanks to Teri for acting so promptly, likewise to the Enforcement Officer and Spelthorne Borough Council.
