Just an update, a breakdown and a timeline on what’s happening out on the Stanwell Moor Road

New water mains and renewals
Some residents have asked what exactly is going on and when will it end. They are installing new water mains and renewing old ones – Quote: To allow us to move water across our communities ensuring a resilient customer supply and enabling us to end unsustainable abstraction.
We are investing in our network to minimise bursts and installing new pipelines. This will allow us to keep more water in the ground to help your local chalk stream whilst continuing to provide your community with a reliable and high-quality supply of water for many years to come.

- Stanwell Moor Road and Park Road, Staines – water mains replacement.
We’ll be starting work in September to replace the water mains on Stanwell Moor Road and Park Road.
We’re sorry, we know it can be inconvenient for us to work near your home. This work is essential to reduce disruption from leaks and bursts, leave more water in our precious environment and will help us to continue to provide a reliable supply of high-quality drinking water to you and your local community long into the future.
When we’ll be working
Approximate dates: Monday 26th September until mid-December 2022
Working hours: 7am – 7pm (Mon – Fri), 9am – 1pm (Sat & Sun)
How does this affect you?
Traffic management: Work will begin on Monday 26th September with a clearly signed traffic diversion in place for the duration of the works. This is approved by the Highways Authority and is the safest route for all vehicle types. You may want to allow more time for your journey.
Phase 1: The work will start on Stanwell Moor Road at the junction with Horton Road where there’ll be a northbound lane closure.
Phase 2: Stanwell Moor Road will be closed northbound (with the southbound carriageway remaining open).
Phase 3: Stanwell Moor Road will be closed southbound (with the northbound carriageway remaining open).
Phase 4: Stanwell Moor Road will be opened (both carriageways). There’ll be no access to Park Road from Stanwell Moor Road. Access will be maintained onto Stanwell Moor Road from Park Road. *
* There’ll no access into or out of Park Road over the weekend of 26th-27th November.
Access: Vehicle and pedestrian access to your property will be maintained during these works. We’ll keep you updated if we need to restrict access to a particular area.
Your water supply: Your water supply may be affected during these works. We’ll post a card through your door in advance if there’ll be any interruptions.
Noise: To minimise noise during working hours we have a ‘non-idle’ policy where plant and machinery will not be left running for extended periods unless they are actively working.
