STH COMMUNITY CAMPAIGN NEW: – 15th AUGUST
SURREY HIGHWAYS UPDATES

Hi Everyone,

I thought I had posted these but it seems not. So here are the updates on what I’m trying to get Surrey Highways and Jason Russell to do.

Good News – They’re trying to find the money.
Bad News – We’re not there yet.

I’ll keep up the pressure though….

Hi Jim

The strength of feeling in the local community about HGVs in the village was very clear at the meeting. Further to the meeting I have received a number of emails from local residents.

I will ask that the local highways team pull together a note for me setting out the feasibility of width restrictions, and I’ll get back to you when I’ve got that. In the meantime I’ll get the details I have been sent logged and see if there’s some action we can take.

Regards
Jason

Hello Jason,

This needs more than feasibility, it needs action and that action needs to be carried out asap!

I did get your email saying you were out of the office till the 27th. However you now have all the proof you need, you understood the strength of feeling at the meeting you attended. We can’t wait over a fortnight till you come back our residents are in danger. This (cannot) wait!

Here are another two side-by-side blocking our roads, causing traffic to come to a halt and leaving our village via small winding roads and over a 7.5tonne bridge to get to the M25!!

https://www.facebook.com/cazzy/videos/10157664900438502/ The other one a shredder truck heading for Morris Yard – And for good measure listen to the 747 going over the roof of this house.

https://www.facebook.com/cazzy/videos/10157664965808502/ – Here is another numbskull who’s decided he can’t get out to the M25 so going the other way and ruining our roads.

We need these M25 entry width-restrictions NOW!
Kind regards,
Jim.

Hi Jim

Work on this will continue in my absence. We need to do the feasibility first to make sure there is a solution that will work.

We’ll also need to work out how it can be funded.
We’ll keep you updated as it progresses.

Regards
Jason

Hi Jason,

Thanks for this and I hope we can get a resolution soon as things are ‘very heated’ here. I’m getting many images and videos sent to me daily.

This really is a shocking state of affairs and people are expecting action asap from Surrey CC.

Are you on Messenger and I’ll send you images direct. As our group on facebook is a closed group and links to images you might not see?

Regards,
Jim.
